Joseph L. Curosh III Education and Background Mr. Curosh received his Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University. He then continued his education and received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Mr. Curosh received his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. Mr. Curosh began his legal career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office in Crown Point, Indiana. He began in the County Division and was quickly assigned to the Felony Division. While a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Mr. Curosh was responsible for handling high level felony cases including major drug offenses, violent offenses, and homicides. Mr. Curosh left the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office to join his father in private practice. Mr. Curosh was named a Conflicts Panel Attorney in the Lake County Public Defender’s Office Conflicts Division. As a Conflicts Panel Attorney, Mr. Curosh defended individuals charged with a myriad of offenses including drug offenses and murder. Mr. Curosh was transferred from the Conflicts Division and assigned to the Public Defender’s Office as a Deputy Public Defender and has continued to defend clients charged with high level criminal offenses. In 2018, Mr. Curosh was designated to the IT Supervisor/Trial Attorney position in the Lake County Office of the Public Defender. He continues to represent clients charged with high level offenses or complex technological issues. Since joining his father in private practice, the father and son team represent clients charged with criminal offenses, clients severely injured in accidents, and clients who have suffered injuries during medical treatment. Mr. Curosh also represents small businesses and individuals in matters ranging from contracts, purchase and sale of real estate, and general legal matters. Mr. Curosh continues to represent clients in traffic matters, and all levels of criminal matters. In 2016, Mr. Curosh was named to the National Trial Lawyer’s Top 40 Under 40. In 2017, for the second consecutive year Mr. Curosh was named to the National Trial Lawyer’s Top 40 Under 40. Mr. Curosh has been named to the Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys in Indiana by the Mr. Curosh is a member of the Lake County Bar Association. Mr. Curosh is also a member of the Calumet American Inn of Court.

Joseph L. Curosh, Jr. Education and Background Mr. Curosh received his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Purdue University. He then continued his education and received his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. Mr. Curosh began his legal career in private practice and as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office in Crown Point, Indiana. He became the Chief Deputy Prosecutor to Jack Crawford and remained the Chief Deputy for Jon Deguilio. While the Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, Mr. Curosh was responsible for handling complex and high level felony cases including homicides. Mr. Curosh left the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office and entered back into private practice. Mr. Curosh began his own firm in 1998 and practiced as a solo practitioner until he was joined by his son. Since his son joined him in private practice, the father and son team represent clients charged with criminal offenses, clients severely injured in accidents, and clients who have suffered injuries during medical treatment. Mr. Curosh also represents clients in probate matters, estate planning, and school law. Mr. Curosh is a member of the Lake County Bar Association. Mr. Curosh is also a member of the Calumet Inn of the American Inns of Court.
